If you’re in your 40’s and have struggled with food issues, an eating disorder, depression, poor self-image, and toxic relationships- these 4 R’s are definitely going to help motivate you, and help create a better version of you!
These are the 4 R’s on how to “Revivify” a 2.0 version of you!
#1 Read
to make yourself a better person, partner, mother, or better employee. If there are self-help books out there- read them on any topic that pertains to you. Read Bible scriptures or any type of spiritual guide books. Read positive affirmations out loud- Speak them over you right now; “You are beautiful, you are worthy, you are more than enough, you are smart, you are amazing, and you can do hard things” Read motivational quotes or read anything that motivates you.
#2 Revitalize
Revitalize, revivify, and reinvent myself. The only way to do this is to find yourself and love yourself. If you feel lost, overweight, or depressed, and feel like you can’t escape the run down tired-of-life version of you- Think of this analogy; Like the metamorphosis of butterflies, they are a truly amazing insects with transformative powers. That fact in itself is especially amazing because inside the chrysalis, the caterpillar actually turns into liquid as it transforms into a butterfly. The transformation is the most dramatic change in the life cycle of a butterfly. Did you know that the caterpillars bodies are completely reorganized to produce the beautiful adult butterfly that emerges from the pupa? So It’s basically the same thing- you have to think of yourself as a caterpillar going into chrysalis, transforming, which is the only way to become the most beautiful and better version of you. You need to completely restore the old, revive yourself, renew the version of you into a 2.0 better version of yourself. However, just like the butterfly transformation is a process, a personal transformation is a process- it doesn’t happen over night. It takes time and patience. The transformation comes from within. It starts from the inside out. The only way to transform is starting from the inside.
You have to re-program your brain- change everything you know and do and formed new healthy habits.
#3 Routine
Create your new routine- this is a big one! You need to create new habits. They say it takes 21 days to form a habit. The next 21 days, challenge yourself to swap out the old wretched habits for the new good habits. Change up your old routine. If you consistently go to Starbucks every day and get a Latte or a Cookie Crumble Frappuccino, you need to now replace that with an Unsweetened Iced Green Tea with 1 packet of Splenda. Green tea is proven to increase your metabolism. If you normally drink soda, switch to water. You have to change your old ways. Eat the same foods- low carb, zero sugar foods to cleanse your body. Take the same supplements, and use the same anti-aging products, day after day. Be consistent with your routine where you are just going on autopilot. The main point is form your new routine. Every day when you wake up, make a list, meditate, take your supplements, form your routine with the same low carb, zero sugar foods. Find a hobby YOU love. Love yourself, pamper yourself, strengthen your body- lift weights, and end the day with a motivational quote. If what you’re doing isn’t working- you’ve got to change it. If you want to change, you need to change what’s not working- strengthen your mind, body, and soul.
#4 Repeat Repeat Repeat…
This is the key. If you have food issues or an eating disorder – this process WILL help you. The key is repeating the same new good habits over and over. Eating the same foods over and over. It will help you restore the new you. Become a better 2.0 version of YOU. Remember an overall transformation has to start from within- it has to start from the inside out. Don’t throw yourself away and give up on yourself. Don’t speak anything negative – If you hear an inner voice telling you, “No, I’m always going to be overweight and tired, and I’m never going to be fit. I’m just going to be unhealthy. This eating disorder defeated me…” No no no girl!! Get that out of your head!! Get up – Get yourself out of that mindset. Get that negative junk off you- shake it off right now. Break those chains that are holding you back from creating a new you. Break the chains of depression off you, the food issues, that toxic relationship, break the chains from your eating disorder. You can do this!
Change is not always easy, but the good things don’t come easy- they take patience and time. Believe that you can transform your life into a better version of you. Believe that you can reinvent yourself in the new year- you got this!
